LAKEWOOD MONTESSORI SCHOOL
Lakewood Montessori School is a non-profit organization that has been serving the families of East Dallas and the Park Cities for more than ten years. We are affiliated with the American Montessori Society and take great pride in providing teachers who are certified for the levels they teach. Our environments are beautifully prepared and fully equipped to meet the needs of both our Preschool and Elementary students.

DALLAS FROHSINN SINGING SOCIETY
The Dallas Frohsinn Singing Society was first organized in 1877. During its history it survived two world wars and almost non-existent emigration from their home countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland. During World War II the choir disbanded for a few years and then started again after the war.
Originally the Dallas Frohsinn was a men’s chorus but in 1991 a Damenchor was also established and became accepted in the Deutsch Texanischen Saengerbund. Eventually the two choirs merged and became a mixed choir.
The Dallas Frohsinn Singing Society has a group of about 35 singers who love the German song. Some members are native German and others are of German descent or simply love to sing German ballads.
In concert there are now three venues – the men’s chorus and the women’s chorus each singing individually and then the mixed chorus where they sing the four voices together.
The director is Will Kanute and the Society meets every Monday at 7:30 p.m. (except during the summer break) at St. Paul’s Church, 6464 East Lovers Lane, Dallas, TX 75214.
